Requirements:
Valid NYS School Building Leader (SBL) certification (required)
Proven experience in literacy instruction for grades 3–5
Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Educational Leadership or related field
Experience implementing data-driven instructional strategies
Knowledge of current literacy research and best practices
Track record of improving student outcomes in literacy
Experience mentoring and coaching teachers
Familiarity with NYC Department of Education policies and initiatives

We are seeking a passionate and certified Science Teacher to join our school community. The ideal candidate will inspire curiosity, foster critical thinking, and help students develop strong scientific literacy through hands-on, inquiry-based instruction.
Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging science lessons aligned with New York State Science Learning Standards and NYC DOE curricula.
Lead laboratory activities, experiments, and projects to bring science concepts to life.
Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners, including English Language Learners and students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
Assess student learning using a variety of formative and summative methods, and provide timely feedback.
Maintain a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment.
Communicate regularly with parents, guardians, and school staff about student progress.
Participate in professional development, staff meetings, and school-wide initiatives.
Support extracurricular activities such as science fairs, STEM clubs, or competitions.
Qualifications Preferred Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Science Education or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Exams: Successful completion of required New York State teacher certification exams, including the Educating All Students (EAS) exam and the appropriate Content Specialty Test (CST).
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in Education or a science discipline.
Experience teaching in New York City public schools.
Strong classroom management skills and knowledge of culturally responsive teaching practices.
Familiarity with integrating technology and digital tools into science instruction.
Ability to lead extracurricular STEM initiatives.
