About the Role

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging science lessons aligned with New York State Science Learning Standards and NYC DOE curricula.

Lead laboratory activities, experiments, and projects to bring science concepts to life.

Differentiate instruction for diverse learners, including English Language Learners and students with IEPs.

Assess student learning with formative and summative methods, providing timely feedback.

Maintain a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment.

Communicate regularly with parents, guardians, and staff.

Participate in professional development, staff meetings, and school-wide initiatives.

Support extracurricular activities such as science fairs, STEM clubs, and competitions.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Science Education or related field.

New York State teacher certification (including Educating All Students exam (EAS) and the relevant Content Specialty Test (CST)).
